Top ranked Al Riyadi (4-2) recorded its second loss in Beirut on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by fourth ranked Sagesse (2-3) 105-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Riyadi. The best player for the winners was American power forward Paris Bass (207-1995, college: Detroit) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Kevin Murphy (197-1990, college: Tenn Tech, agency: The Crew A.M.) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. South Sudanese-American Nuni Omot (204-1994, college: Baylor) produced 29 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) for the guests. Sagesse moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Defending Lebanese champion Al Riyadi still keeps top position with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
